Australia recommendations?

Here's where the blog gets interactive. Please post here any suggestions for what I should do in Australia. My plan is to travel from Brisbane to Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and then travel on the Ghan train through to Darwin (which I've booked for mid-April). If there's anything along that route that you think I should do, please let me know.

  1. You should learn to play a didgeridoo and do a bit of walk about. Oh, and an encounter with a snake, spider or crock seems at least obligatory.
Be well and enjoy your time.

  2. Tour of Parliament and a visit to the Australian War Memorial Museum in Canberra. The galleries are definitely worth a visit too if you stop off in the capital. Happy trails...

  3. Simon, the best thing you could do in Australia would be to revoke your NZ passport and become an Aussie!

Give me a shout when you're approaching Adelaide. You're welcome to stay at my place.

  4. I am also told that the Ausralian War Museum in Canberra is worth seeing though I've never been. But try the following: McCrae Wood Shiraz by Jim Barry, or a Cabernet Sauvignon from Moss Wood or Vass Felix. Best things to come out of Australia since Don Bradman.

And have a great trip! Are you going to make it to London? If so, you can doss here while you're about it.

    James.
